How many of you have the Extended Warranty?  Just curious if its even worth it.

Hopefully most of the problems would be discovered before 36k miles.  (knock on wood)

The dealer wanted me to pay ~$1,400 for the 6yr/75,000mi but I told him I would only pay $1000 and they took it.

I've had 2 other new card with the extended warranty (Nissan and Toyota) and they both paid off.

Nissan is excellent quality, but this is the first big engine and I thought it would be good to pay $1000 and be safe.

The sealer talked me into a 5yr/60kmile extd. warrenty. What sold me was the Perma Plate protective coating and the enhanced security features. The Perma Plate is suppose to keep the truck looking showroom quality for 5 years.

Plus, it's just piece of mind in my case. This is my first new vehicle and I would like to drive it most of my life.

I was talked into 6yr/75,000 mile extended warranty when I bought my Titan 2 days ago.  Just last night I was thinking about how these things are usually a scam and I am debating trying to get my money back.  I keep going back and forth on it.  So, I guess I am in the same boat as yourself.  There are a lot of things that are not covered (read the fine print!) and I have a $50 deductable, but at the same time it is Nissan's first big engine as 'Drew' mentioned.  I just don't know what are the odds of having $1450+ in covered work done to the truck between 36,001 and 75,000 miles???  Still seems a little unlikly.

I canceled the extended warranty yesterday and got my money back.  They worked and worked on me to keep it but I didn't.  Just by their passion for selling it, is a red flag that it is just a big money maker for them.  Found out that I actually had paid $1,680 not $1400. Sleeping much better now, dreaming about what to do with that $1,680.
