Hello All I am a fairly new member here and I am hoping I am posting this in the right place though I dont know.

So I have had my Titan for about a month and even though I love it,  I have to say it hasnt been the luckiest vehicle I have ever owned.  4 days into  having the truck, it was broken into.  Stayed in the body shop for two weeks waiting on parts (broke out a window and dented the door)

A week after I got it back I was rear ended.  It hit hard enough to bend the reciever hitch down and to buckle the bed as well as shove it up under the cab.  All of this before the first payment :(

I have said all of that to ask this.  The body shop says they can "straighten" the bed but would much rather get a new one.  The problem comes in where they have found out that Nissan doesnt make a bed assembly for the truck.  Anybody have any ideas how I might be able to get my hands on a new bed for it.  I have about a thousand miles on it and I sure would like for it to be RIGHT when fixed.

Thanks for any help

Nissan should be able to replace it because they replaced the beds on trucks that had the bubbling bed liner issue. Check into that.

Atually its the silver/grey.  I just can't seem to get a break with it.  Mechanically it hasnt had any of the problems I have seen excepting a plastic bit mysteriously showing up in the floorboard once or twice... but it keeps getting attacked...

I have a silver bad luck charm myself. Bought 1 /3/04. DWI  1 / 9 / 04. Cop couldn't hang with a concrete worker stylin & profylin better than him. Eighter that or the tity bar my bud got us thrown out of thought he was driving & pimped. There was no case and I've since beat it. But in the mean time. I get in an accident. Cop sees the breathofagolizer, me in construction duds. Looks at the well dressed elderly couple in the new caddy. Lieing better than Bony & Clyde ever thought of.  Makes a judgment call. Can't give me a ticket so nobody gets one. Get the truck fixed out of my own pocket. Then same road few miles down. I'm in the right lane again. Oops. Freakshow in the middel lane cuts in and jams on the brakes to make a right. I miss this jackass, but the load of 3/4 ply  I'm carrying  slams the back of the cab. I want some body's ass now right. I take the turn & punch it. All the plywood goes skeetin out the back. Got to hand it to the truck. That plywood shot out so fast It didn't do squat to the tail gate. Bent the back of the bed in about an inch though. Still don't have a rubber mat yet. Didn't fix it eighter. At the time I was waiting for the next freak of nature to cross my path. Been six months now ,think the new truck ginx has passed.

My red 95 Hardbody was a accident magnet. Four people hit me in less then a year and a tree limb feel on it the day I got it back from the body shop. Needless to say I didn't own that thing very long.

feel for you....bad luck.....I may can answer the plastic bit puzzle for you....on the overhead console open the compartment closest to the front...look in it above the box and towards the front and see if it is cracked and breaking out around the bolt in the middle... this happened to mine and the dealer replaced the overhead console
