I have just purchased a Titan SE Crew Cab and am incredibly pleased and incredibly anal  with the truck.  I have a two year old who is the owner of the rear seats.  Being a toddler he is not very neat and is diffenetly not concerned about the condition of my seats.  Should I treate the seats with a protectant or is this not necessary.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You could spray the seats with some ScotchGuard, or get one of those pet covers for the back seat, or just leave the sippy cup at home....lol...GL

Thanks for the reply 'thepuffman',

I have thought about ScotchGuard.  I just was not that familiar with the product.  I guess I need to do some research.  As far as leaving the sippy cup at home, that is not an option.  That sippy cup has played a major part in my keeping my sanity.

Thanks again.

I received the following response from a fellow GA Titan buddy about Scotch Gaurding his seats.  I will be doing mine ths weekend!

Worked awesomely. I have the steel colored (does the nserts have a green tint to anyone else but me?).

I used ScotchGuard brand. The blue can. It's in the camping section at walmart. Not the little plaid can for clothes.

It works awesome. Went back 4 hours later and misted all of it again. Now (4 hours further) water beads up on it like wax. It has no different feel to it from stock. I will tell you it smells. It'll air out but right now it's like new car smell set on 11.

No color change whatsoever except when it was "wet".

The Nissan water-proof seat covers are great.  They have saved my interior numerous times.  Last weekend I got soaking wet (fell in the water while putting the boat on the trailer) and jumped right into the truck.  Seat covers show no sign of ever getting wet. I have also spilled coffee on them and it cleaned up quite easily..

npep and Rhino,

Thanks for the response.  I like the idea of the seat covers.  I think I'll look into those prior to Scotch Guarding.  Rhino, did you purchase those through the dealer ?  If not, where did you find them?

I tried some aftermarket seat covers, and was less than satisfied...Rhino you think they worth $140? I'm not worried about spills so much as I am my dog's toenails...He likes to ride with me and I have already noticed a snag or 2 on my front seats...How well you think this material would hold up?

IMHO, they are worth it. The material is more like a canvas than a fabric. This material would not snag like cloth fabric seats. They will protect the seats very well and the look is still real good.

PS.  I have the side and curtain airbag so that is why they are open on the side.  Also the color difference is not as dramatic in true color... must be the flash.
