Has anyone installed a Motorola mobile radio in their Titan? I am
getting ready to install a Syntor X9000 fire radio in my 04, and I am
looking for suggestions for location of the control head. The LE
King does not allow for a lot of room to mount the unit within arms
length of the driver seat. I was wondering if anyone came up with
a different plan of attack
Thanks,
KL

I was going to install a CB radio in my truck and thought the spot in the center of the dash where the GPS would go if I had bought one, looked like a good spot. But I ended up installing a Cobra unit that has all the controls on the had unit and I just hid the base behind the dash on the passenger side. If you don't have the factory GPS unit I still think that might be a good spot, there's probably power under there too.

For future reference, I had to install the control head in the center
console, large open section in the middle. The mic is hooked
there as well. The main radio unit is on the back floor. I
will get some photos posted shortly. Not sure how many members
are in the fire service, but perhaps someone can find this info
userful.
