I've had my Titan for 3 months now.  I have the Rockford Fosgate option.

I like a lot of bass and had my bass setting to +5 until recently.  I'm not sure if it is the new CD's I have made or not, but it seems like my sub is vibrating more than usual.  It gets better if I turn the bass down to 4 or 3, but then I lose significant fullness of music sound.  I am trying to figure out if I blew it or not, but it only rattles on really bassey (sp?) songs.

How does your sub perform?  What do you have your bass set to?  Can the speaker itself be replaced with a higher quality one from Car Toys, etc?

My current (preferred) stereo settings are:
treble +5
mid +0
bass +5
fade +0

Thanks for your replies.

My sub does not make any vibrating noises....i usually leave my bass on like +2 or +3...I guess youre not a "mid" kinda guy....I turn my treble down to +1 or +2...and set my mids to +3....i dont like my music too "bright".

I'm pretty sure you can replace the sub....I thinks its a 8" sub...You may want to take the seat off and make sure nothing is touching the sub causing noises...good luck!

Well, I have to turn my stereo down to about 9, maybe 10 for the sub to not make any (substantial) vibrating noise.

I will be very interested if someone else gets their factory sub replaced.  I'd like to know what route they went.  I don't want to have additional boxes installed and take up the cargo area by my rear seats.

So, you listen to a lot of "bassy" Rap and you still have your Bass set to 0?  How come you don't turn it above that?

its fine the way it is at 0, anymore bass and it will sound like paper flapping in the wind. I'm gettin a whole new system anyways so dont care for my stock speakers...two 10'' Kicker L7's 600 Watt RMS - Alphasonik Amp @ 1200 Watts - AS Door Speakers and Tweets. all for about 700 bucks, not bad at all :)

Sounds good.  Where are you placing the 10" subs?

Called the dealer and told them about my sub making the vibrating noise.  Told them it used to not do it, but started about a month ago.

I'm bringing it in tonight for some other work and they said they are going to order a replacement, but are unsure how long it will take to get it in.

under the backseat, You'll be surprised on what you can fit under there lol was gonna go with 12's but the box would stick to far out making very little leg room...so thier going to order new factory speakers? what you should do is just replace them...fosgates are nice speakers but there are far more superior ones on the market, you can find some for just about 100 - 150 bucks.
