I noticed on my new titan that i have the option of displaying cd text like song titles and cd titles. I can't figure out how to use this and the manual doesn't say. Can anyone help?

I wonder if it'll work on certain cd's?
My radio in my Xterra has a similar feature for AM/FM stations that only a certain bunch of stationsactually come up as to saying what station it is and what not...Thats probably the case though..

When in the CD mode, use the right knob that you would use to adjust bass, treble, mid, fade, etc. Only is that the album and track titles have to be encoded on the CD which most store-bought CDs are not done this way. Any that you burn yourself and you name the tracks, those should display once you have it set to do so in the radio.

Has anybody actually got this feature to work and how did you do it. I've burned cd's with easy cd creator 5, named all the songs but still nothing.

Hey smokey, I'll try mine out b/t now and the weekend and let you know what I come up with. I'm probably going to end up with a new radio in my Titan as the eject button doesn't work and if I have any CDs loaded, it will eject them all when I start the engine after stopping -- weird.
I'll keep you posted...

I found a cd that worked. It was my wife's dixie chick "fly" cd. The service manager at the dealership told me that some cd's offer the text and some don't, just mostly the newest cd's. BTW canteen how does the bug shield look on the titan?

I tried a CD out this weekend that I had burned with the tracks encoded and it did work. I'm glad to hear you were able to get yours to work as well! The shield looks good. As soon as I can, I'll get a picture and post it for you guys to see.

I guess my cd burner doesn't support cd text as I've tried some burnt cd's that didn't work. Oh well.
