I need to tow a 22' full height, enclosed car trailer. Loaded, about 7,000lbs total, and used with a weight distributing hitch. Towing maybe a half dozen weekends per year, mostly highway. I've never even considered a Titan until now. I currently tow with the 2500 version of a large SUV whose name sounds like the place you want to live when you don't want to live in the city. But it's been a total nightmare when it comes to anything electrical. It's driving me crazy. I'm very ready for a change. So my novice question: is the Titan a reasonably "relaxed" tow vehicle for this situation?

Thanks for any advice - it's the sort of thing you really can't investigate with a test drive!

I would say you should not have any problems at all if you go with the Big tow package and probably would not have a problem with out the big tow. The big tow is rated for 9500 lbs and I have seen allot of these trucks pulling more than 9500 lbs. If it were me I would go to the dealer and tell them you would in fact like to take it for a real test drive and pull your trailer, tell them you will be gone for the better part of the day and take a little 2 hour trip. I know my dealer in my area would be ok with this. Good luck and you won't be displeased.

Thanks for the advice! And I'll try your test tow idea on my local dealer.

I' ve been a GM truck owner for many years, but this one has put me over the top. Example: it had Ride Control [computer died 2yrs ago], but the shocks needed replacing. And the egregious, gouging price per shock, part only? C$680/U$600 EACH!! What's worse, ONLY oem shocks fit [in the front at least]. That's just last week's problem. ... Hence considering the Titan.

I pull a 8,000lb full size travel trailer and the my Titan with the big tow package pulls it better than any truck I've pulled with before, and it does it with a nicer ride.

Of course I have an equalizing hitch...

No more break dust on Titan wheels.  I installed Kleen Wheel dust covers with wheelmates.  They look good and come in colors.  I purchased them at  custompickup.com.  At last clean wheels.  05 KC TT Silver.

the titan with big tow package is rated 9500 lbs max towing, with the right equipment 7000 lbs should be no problem
