I'm about to drive myself crazy thinking about this. So I thought I'd see if any of you have had any experience in this area.
I've made a couple of posts about the noises and rattles I have. Some of you may have even seen my last update on it. If not, I've taken my truck in twice for noises and they still can't figure out where they coming from. So now they have contaced Nissan Corporate and they are sending an engineer out to investigate. They've told me that if he can't find them, then Nissan is going to buy my truck back because they've tried twice now ... a week each time. I'm still waiting to find out when I get to take it in.
My question is, when will the engineer decide that he can't find the main one either. Will he dismantle my truck piece-by-piece until he does find it? Or will he try to use the same methods that the technician used? And how long will he try? In my mind, if he's going to dismantle it then I don't want it back because it'll never be the same after it's been taken apart.
Right now I think the odds are in my favor because there are two other noises he's got to find as well.
I figure they will make more money if they buy it back, let me upgrade, fix the problem and then sell it again.
Any thoughts?
