I replaced my high beams with Silvania Silverstar Ultra.  I turned on the headlights to check them out and all was well.  I went to start the truck and there was a pop and the electrical system went haywire.  The interior lights went dim and were flashing about once a second, all the gauge needles were jumping, there were a lot of relay noises (clicking) from under the dash and console area.  No noises from under the hood.  If I step on the brake pedal the underdash noises stop, but start again when I take my foot off.  I can't believe that replacing these bulbs would cause all this crap.  First major problem I've had with this truck.  And I just paid the off two days ago.

I called the dealership and talked with their "Master Tech" and he ain't got a clue.  Gonna tow it in in the morning to the dealership.

How about that!!! And with only 22K miles on an '04.

Anybody ever heard of this before??

Here's the fix!!!!!  The friggin' BATTERY.  Dealership paid the tow and replaced the battery under warranty (pro rated) for $20.00.

Started it up and pulled it into the driveway and 2 hours later the battery failed.  Who would have tought it?  Older vehicles just would have to refused to start, but NOOOOOO....With all the relay clicking and guage needles jumping and interior lights flashing on and off and frying noises under the dash, I thought it was TOAST.

Well my inconvience is maybe someone else's fix
