Okay I have 2004 Nissan Titan SE no off road package and no tow package. Is it me or is the truck sluggish. I used to have a 1995 lincoln Mark VIII that was a rocket with the same amount of horses. I hope it is me but I can't  light the wheels up. or power brake. Unless i put the truck in 1st gear. But when hit the gas pedal all the way down there is a slight hesitation then it goes but not like neck snapping like my Lincoln did. Is it something i need to get checked out. I dont have the "VDC" but if I try to lay wheel the "B-LSD" light comes on. Is it the transmission or the ECU has to be reprogrammed I have read so much stuff that I am totally confused please help!!!

I understand the question but as a horsepower lover, If I buy a truck that claims to have good HP ratings, I would expect it to lay some rubber.  As far as the original problem, I have the same.  I can break the tires loose but I cannot do a full on burn out.  I think that would make a great picture!  Does anyone think that maybe the brakes in the back are preventing the laying of rubber during a power braking session?

JoeyCrack - to answer your question about the price - I am assuming that is what he paid.  I paid 29K for the SE 4x4 CC with the big tow and RF package.  So since his is stripped down I assumed he paid less.  My old 83 Chevy is my hot rod...so I dont slam on a 30K dollar truck like some people might.

I have a LE 4x4 with Big Tow and Off Road package and I can rip the tires at 6000ft above sea level and Im loosing 10% of my horse power to altitude sickness. You mite have the same horsepower as the car you have but you have a lot bigger tire to move.

I don't have the Off Road or Tow Package either.  My truck seems to really pick up once it approaches 3000 RPM.

I have tried roasting the tires and have not really had much luck.  On occassion, it will seem to bark, but for the most part, it doesn't.  This is disappointing.  I was hoping to be able to mash the gas once in a while with that big V8 and have it burn a patch.   Not the end of the world though....

Nico...;

 You have issues....you can not compare any P/U to Lincoln M5.

I have  LE 4x2...It will catch 1 st with without a problem   from the factory.

 I did get the Tow package.   I cant wait to break this thing in... I think it will eat any hemi... I would even try a little 4.7 Mustang GT  off the line....and top end....
