**UPDATE:**

My original subject was "Volant intake - NO instructions"

OK, I guess I had the "instructions" all along. There ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS. What Volant calls instructions I call a parts list and diagram of the parts. There is no explaination of the installation what so ever... although not too hard to figure out, still when you buy something that says "full instructions included" you expect a little more.

Anyone out there have the Volant air intake instructions? I just got mine here Friday LATE afternoon and before I realized they were missing everything is closed up for the holiday weekend!

I tried the Volant website, but no instructions are posted yet...

**UPDATE** Volant emailed me the "instructions"... just what I said above, just a diagram of the parts.

OK,

I got the basic unit installed... not a huge deal, but instead of the 20-30 minutes it took me over an hour... most of it was figuring out what bolts where etc.

One irritating item was one of the stock bolt brackets had to be cut a little for clearance... not a big deal if you have air tools.

It does look however that the HyperFlow accessory intake will not work with the front factory skid plate...   without the instructions it is a bit hard to tell exactly where the fresh air is suppose to come from... in my view it looks like the skid plate is right in the way. For $100 I'd say get come flex tubing and make your own. Unless the directions turn a light bulb on inside my head I'll be sending this accessory back and making my own.

The rest of the installation is pretty EZ and straight forward. I will try to post a photo how to soon.

Tomorrow I add my Banks exhaust! Nice couple of weekend projects! I will post my "review" later.

Still would like a set of instructions for the Volant system!

I'll check when I get home if I still have the instructions. Which of the bolt brackets had to be cut? On my system the two holes at the bottom wouldn't line up because the box was hitting on a bracket coming off the Master Cylinder. Did you have that problem?

Who did you purchase the intake from? i got mine from truckperformance.com, they were supposed to give be 5% off...but I never got it even though I called them like 5 or 6 times.

Is the Volant 50 state legal? I know in Cali we have 4 years but if you get nailed for nosie they can make you get certified and I don't want the hassle of chnaging the intake back to stock. I have done it beofre and its a waste of time.

IQ9,

Yes, it's 50 state legal, but it did not increase my milage one bit, as for HP, maybe a bit. Worth it? Don't know, see my comments under my other post with the Banks exhaust/Volant intake install...

BIG BAD TITAN,

Yes, the bracket on the master cyl was the one that hit the new Volant air box. I cut off enough to make it fit, but managed to leave enough of the bracket should I want to return to the stock configuration.

See my notes on this unit on my other post about the Banks exhaust and the Volant intake... note: the HyperFlow accessory intake tube DOES NOT WORK with the factory skid plate or toiw hook!
