Hello All,

I have about 3500 miles on my Titan.  I have the warped rotor problem already.....anyone who went back to the dealer to get this problem fixed, did the dealer cover it under the warranty and did they give you a hard time?  Thanks!

Did you start having the rotors vibrate under braking or was it a loss of braking power? The brakes on are truck have steadily gotten worse since we bought it. We have about 2000 miles on it and you really have to work to get it to stop. We bought it partly for its braking performance.

This is a very common KNOWN issue to Nissan...  you will have to have Nissan replace the rotors and brake pads.  It is all under warranty.  Take it to your dealer.

I just had mine fixed, I'm happy now

Hey 6thSense,

I had my brake pads replaced with a new type, and my rotors turned around 6000 miles.  It was done under warranty because of problems with them pulsating badly.  I have never towed anything with my Titan and the only load it has carried was to move me out of my last apartment.  I now have 11,000 miles on it and the pulsating brakes are back with a vengeance.  I am calling my dealer soon to see if he has any new fixes.  According to my dealer, the new pads were supposed to transfer less heat to the rotor, but who heck knows.  It's really starting to get annoying.   I'll let ya'll know what I find out.

As others have said this is an ongoing problem with nissan.  Mine last about 2000mi before starting to warp between turnings.  Nissan is going to have to do some type of redesign of the front brakes I.e larger rotors, or drilled and vented.  A different pad is not going to be enough on a system that is so under designed that it warps this quickly.

I've got the same problem. I have over 12,000 miles on mine. I started feeling the shakes about 3,000 miles ago. I have yet to mention it to the dealer, but I'm going back soon for the passenger visor and radio replacements. At first I thought it was the road, now I know it's the brakes. Also, we just had our first rain fall in like 140 or 150 days. Had the Titan out and the VDC feature really helps maintain control of this powerful beast.
