Hi all,

Will get one for my birthday present in 2 weeks. Any words of advice you want to pass on to those who have not installed them yet?

And, any recommendations as to the best kit out there? I am looking at the daykn09100bk from jackit.com for under 130 bucks. Its the front only and raises it 2.5 inches. Is that too high to level with the rear????  My LE is bone stock (for now)

THanks for any input/advice

Johnboy

The Daystar kit is known to cause breakage.
Get the Prerunner kit for $199. Everyone has only said good things about it.
I have it and am extremely pleased with it.

Thanks for the advice, but what is meant by breakage? What is breaking?

the daystar puts more tension on the spring on the strut to lift the front end.

this makes the strut tend to top out more.. damaging the strut cartrage

the leveling kit like i have installed... adds a 1.2" cad machined spacer on top of the strut.

http://performancelifts.com/cgi-bin/cart/GGNLK4.html

the spring is under factory tension, and does not tend to max out the strut.

the ride is also factory..not stiffened by compressing the spring.

hope this helps.

I'm thinking of the same kit that you have. Being that I'm a college student and dorms lack the proper space for the install...how much would you estimate an installation price for this kit??? From my research, I think that this kit is hands down the way to do, as no alternate modifications are required...and it does not harm the vehicle.
