I'm located in Sacramento, CA and I just had a exhaust upgrade done to my truck. They took everything from in front of the Y out and made dual pipes all the way to the muffler. They used a Magnaflo two in, two out muffler and then took the pipes out oposite sides of the spare. They even installed heat shield anywhere it got even close to something. They were saying it was only about $300 in parts and about one and a half to two hours labor. I had a Flowmaster that was in place of the stock original muffler but it resonated in the cab loudly. This set up is quiet when it's at idle but when you give it some gas, you know it's there. I would swear it seems to have more power (I guess getting that Y pipe out of the system is a good idea). I know the Banks system goes for about $499. This way is way cheaper (I traded some work I do for their shop to do my exhaust so it was free for me).
Anyone interested the shop was IRC Muffler & Radiator (916)487-1800

Now that's the setup I would do. The banks system (from what I've seen) exits to the side and I do not like that look. Got any pics??

This is true. I have a real dual exhaust fabricated a a local shop here in NJ for 300+ a case of Coors light, however, I supplied 2 Trueflow glasspacks (eBay=50) and a Magnaflow x-pipe(eBay=75), Exhaust music=priceless. Check out the setup at my site www.usantonio.com/titan4x4link.htm and click on the muffler link. This set-up can wake-up the dead as it barks a very mean growl from 1200 RPM and up. I wanted both ends on same side to blast maximum volume at any Hemi-owner as they pee in their seat not knowing what took their doors off.
PEACE

Keep checking eBay motors for "glass pack mufflers". There were several last week and a pair was selling for $35 plus $15 S/H. Just make sure they are 2.25 ID in-out. You make also want to get an X-pipe. I paid $75 for mine. Everything else can be supplied by your local muffler shop. PEACE
