I read through all of the chatrooms and have searched all over the internet for an answer and haven't found one. My current XE wheel and tire setup (stock) just doesn't work for me. I'd like to get a wider tire, maybe 295 or 305 without having to do any suspension changes. I am looking to put a black steel or aluminum aftermarket wheel (preferably 17x8), but every size that I have seen only has a 4.25 to 4.5 inch backspace with 0 offset. The OEM offset is 25mm. Puting a 0 offset wheel on the truck whould push the wheel out approximately 1 inch. Will a 0 offset fit within the wheel well? and what size tires could I fit if that works?
If it doesn't work, is there a mild suspension lift that doesn't just level the front end? Say a 2" all around lift? I like the slight rake of the stock setup. The CST/superlift and others are just too much lift and too costly for me.
Any help would be appreciated.
