Well...

After not getting much sleep last night, I finally went to pick up my Titan today with the new moonroof installed. I must say the job is a 9.75 out of 10! Pleasantly surprised. The manufacture is "Webasto". The site is: http://www.webasto.us/home/en/homepage.html The name of the moonroof is "Hollandia Stratos S749". I got this name from the invoice that was inadvertantly left on the fleet managers desk. He doesn't know we've seen the invoice! (YET!)

My wife was really concerned with the price we paid, $1499 through the dealer. He said "I'm not making any more than a couple hundred bucks on the deal". What the invoice reads is $850! That's more than a couple hundred bucks. Now I don't know if I, as an individual, can get that kind of deal from the installer. It might be just a dealer discount price. I am going to call the installer on Monday and ask what this moonroof installed will cost me. Then I'll let you know if I got a smokin' deal or not. I'll follow with pics and why the sub-10 rating.

I was going to do the same thing on my but decided against it.  My brother in law owns a body shop and is the one who talked me out of it.  He after cutting the roof out they half to bondo it and repaint.  And it being aftermarket he doesn't see how they could run the drain tubes all the way down to the bottom of the truck.  I'm not positive if this is all true, but it was enough for me to decide not to do it.  I hope everything turns out for you.  The dealer i bought from was going to charge 750 for mine.
