Daystar kit will cause failure to front struts! Had my struts replaced twice! Until I found this: http://performancelifts.com/cgi-bin/cart/GGNLK4.html

I found this on www.titantalk.com/forums this kit works and will not blow out stock struts! Daystar's kit causes strut to top out and ruin valving in strut! ask for prerunnergreg and tell him Prlauren from Titantalk.com sent you!

Any Questions Feel Free to E-mail me Prlauren@optonline.net. I have The PRG kit installed! 2004 Nissan Titan CC off-road package

This kind of stuff is what keeps me from doing this to my truck.  I want to so bad, however this seems to be somewhat common and I am not going to risk it until it is perfected.

Trust me the PRG kit is the only leveling kit that works! I have it in my truck! I thought I learned my lesson with making mods on my vehicles from all the problems! The Daystar Kit blew out my struts twice until I put the PRG Gagnon motor sport level kit in it does not effect spring rate or strut in anyway! Check out the reviews!!!! I love it!

Thanks for the heads up! I was about to order the Daystar. What is the difference in the kits that cause the failures?

The daystar kit uses the Strut and shock in the assembly of the kit. The coil spring needs to come off the shock and a spacer goes on the bottom then the coil spring goes back on. Then on top of coil spring another spacer goes on then the OEM plate to hold the assembly together. Which makes the strut (shock) top out to far then it is intended to do. Which causes failure to the shock. The Coil will also be affected with binding! This will give a harsh ride and ruin the Struts.

The Gagnon level kit works because you take the whole strut assembly out of the truck without taking the strut assembly apart! The oem Strut has three threaded bolts on top of strut. The gagnon level kit has three resessed holes which the stock bolts go inside and the Gagnon spacer sits on top of strut assembly! Then the spacer has it's own threaded studs that bolt back into strut mount. Not affecting the shock or the spring or the stock ride quality that the Daystar kit ruins.

Check out Performancelifts.com under suspension and it will show you a picture of the Gagnon kit! This kit works! Trust me don't buy the Daystar kit it sucks!

Thanks for the detailed information. I had already planned on the gagnon kit, just needed to know why the cheaper setup is not very good. There is one thing i learned in life, that is you get what you pay for.

Thanks again

I still would go with Gagnon Level kit! Daystar ruined my struts big time I wish some aftermarket companies would put a little research into the product before selling it!
