For those of you that have been saying your going through your front rotors like crazy, there is a class action lawsuit against Nissan about those. The rotors were changed for the 2005's. There is going to be a running change in 2006 that will increase the rotors to over 13". If you are going into the dealership with your 2004's, make sure they put the upgade (2005) versions on. You will not have the problems like the initial version of rotors.

I haven't taken my truck in on any problems. I don't think my brakes are having problems yet. But should I go ahead and have them looked at just to be safe?

This is good news for me - I would go in to have them looked at - XXX_Titan, do you know of any links to newsreports or consumer reports regarding these changes?  The 13 inch brake discs for sure will fix 99.99% of that break shudder problem - has anyone else heard of this?

I will ask where to find the info on the rotors (consumers/reports) from my contact at Nissan. If you are not having any problems, you may have bought your truck after the change in 2004. As some of you know, on hard braking you have brake chatter. The reason for the suit is that the 1st 04' titans have the smallest rotors and the longest braking distances in the class. I know first hand this is a huge issue inside Nissan and has been addressed.

Anybody use this system? http://www.performancenissanparts.com/catalog/product_info.p hp?cPath=151_806_814&products_id=1415

This information conflicts with what Nissan has been telling me. I haven't heard about any class action suit and according to Nissan they are still testing an up graded rotor/ caliper set-up, but they are not available yet. I have a claim pending against Nissan with the BBB. Could you share exactly where you are getting this info from? Thanks.

Hey Ned i dont think it would be fair to pay 26,000 for a truck and then have to put 2800 it to a new brake system for it the people at nissan should put those kits on our trucks lol
