Has anyone found Clear tail lights that would allow use of an amber turn signal bulb or tail lights that already have an amber bulb or lens?  I have to take my truck to europe and amber turn signals are a requirement.

Those people in Europe will be in awe of your truck.  You will have to tell us some stories once you get over there.

Just curious, but when did amber turn signals become a requirement in Europe?  I was in Spain '88-'90 with an '86 Toyota 4X4 pickup and it wasn't a problem.  I was with the US Air Force in the Madrid area and we had a list of requirements on vehicles that we brought over there and I don't remember that being a requirement.  Must be something rather recent.

Yes, I know that model truck had amber turn signals.

Rick

Its a fairly new european union regulation and i think it states that any car built after 2002 has to have amber turn signals. I could be wrong on the year.

I work for VW and as far as I know, as long as the front turn signals burn amber then there is not a problem.

Had my dad look in to it and he can't be sure for the rest of europe but for england they require amber turn signals in the rear. At least for active members of the armed forces.
