Does anyone know what Intake system is compatible with the Poweraid Throttle Body Spacer... I called K&N and they said that they havent tested their intakes on the 05's (isnt it the same exact engine as 04?)  therefore didnt know if the TBS would work

I've seen dyno results on other vehicles and they had ZERO improvement!

Mixed results.  ClubTitan has several users with these spacers and some claim mileage improvements while other so no.  Some claim a low end torque boost, others say no.  One guy posted some dyno charts and the results showed a high end loss (like 3 hp) with the spacer and you just can't dyno the low end to get provable results.  Some complain about the whistle and others say they can barely hear it.  I have a friend who has one on his Sierra and the whistle drives me insane when I'm in his truck, and I can even hear it when he is about 50 yards away.  Some have removed and resold their spacers because they did not get satisfactory results.

Some people have had to trim their CAIs when they install the space to maintain fan clearance, so there is one thing to watch out for in case you may not like the TBS.

Another note is that the consensus is to remove the half screen behind the TB when installing the TBS.

TB  spacers  don't  do anything.   They  claim  to  make the air a vortex as it passes through, therefore making the air and fuel mix better.

1.  looking at the pics they are about 3" in diameter and the helical grooves are tiny.  they will not make the air spin.

2.  Even if the air were spinning as it went through the spacer, it still has to go through the plenum and then the air splits into runners for each cylinder that are about 8" long.  by the time the air gets to where the fuel injectors are, the air wouldn't be spinning anymore.

3.  Even if it did spin the air, and it was still spinning when it reached the fuel injectors, you wouldn't want it to.  If the air is spinning too much centrifugal force will spin the fuel right out of the air.  The fuel would just collect on the runner walls and drip into the cylinder.

They are a gimmick so companies can make money.
