Well guys, I have finally done it! My very first mod. Next week I'm getting a dual exhaust sytem put on the ole Tank. I went with the Flowmaster 40 series muffler single in dual out w/ 3.5" x 18" SS tips. All for $225 bucks out the door. I don't think you could beat that price with a stick. Any recommendations on where I should get the exits placed? I was thinking about having them come out behind the rear wheels pointed to the ground a little bit for some resonance. After installation I'll post the results. I'm already excited!!

Good price on exhuast. That's what I paid for my Magnaflow.

Put your exhuast wherever you want, it's all about what you, the owner, thinks looks better. I myself run old school, straight out the back. I thought about pointing down behind the tires, but I live down a rock road and would probaly end up destroying the tips.

Well I guess you have to look at they are sending you the whole kit. Piping, muffler, brackets, clamps and etc... I would check around local muffler shops before I buy online. Look at it this way, If you go local and have some problems, they are liable for repair. If you buy online and have problems, YOU gotta fix it. I think alot of peeps got a screw job buying online when it would have been cheaper to get it done by an exhaust shop.

I have to agree with big bear. Sure, some of you may be mechanics by trade or hobby, but the rest of us aren't. I could probaly install the exhaust myself, but if something didn't sound right or something broke, I would have to fix it. But having a well reknown muffler shop to the work, if anything goes wrong, they would fix it. I like that little piece of mind.

I keep waiting for Borla to get out a TRUE dual system with a crossover center and two mufflers.  This truck screams for a true dual system.  Maybe someday I'll go to the local custom shop and price out a custom system.  I envision the exits both on the right side.  A grand or so, probably
