I have a 2005 Titan Le, and was looking to put some more aggressive tires on it than the P265 70 18 SR - A's that it came with.  After talking to most manufacturers, I have found any replacement tires in that size, or larger, to be very hard to come by.  Without lifting the truck, what sizes/makes of tires have you found, and like for your Titans?  Why would they put the 18's on the Le and 17 on the off road version?  The 17's seem to be a lot easier to find tires for.

they put smaller rims on the off road titans because when off road, its much better to have smaller rims and bigger tires for durability and traction, you can switch to 17" rims if u want, as long as there 17" x 7.5" with a 5" backspace, it seems much easier to find tires for the offroad package rims,my stock tire was 285-70-17, i know have 315-70-17 BFG AT's and love em.....

I've go the Bridgestone Duelers in the P265/70/18. They are a very aggresive looking tire. Here's a link to tirerack:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone &tireModel=Dueler+A%2FT+Revo&partnum=67TR8ATREVOWL&vehicleSe arch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=3

I've had mine on for about a week now and really like them. Got mine for $149 ea for a grand total of $709. I could have got a better price on different tires, but heck Bridgestone makes a good product and it should last awhile so, I'll pay a little extra for a better quality product. Heck we all know that the Goodyears and Continentals suck. And I'm not too excited on paying $175-$200 for Michelins. And I haven't had good luck with Kumhos in the past. Just my .02 cents.

I just bought a set of toyo open country a/t's. They are 285 60r 18's which is actually 1.3 inches smaller in diameter, but a much wider looking tire. there is an open country a/t available in our (Ihave an LE as well) size but it is brand new.SHOP AROUND!, I paid $1970.00 installed (dont have a heart attack i'm talking in canadian funds) for 5 tires at OKtire while the Tire Wharehouse wanted $2860.00! I have no idea what the kumho venturers are like but OK wanted $1300.00 installed. If I knew how, I send a picture but i'm still trying to figure out how to change my clock after daylight savings time

I like the 20 inch rim still get a good ride.I went with 305- 50-20 I think they are almost the same height as stock.Tire rack has a chart that shows the height of the different tires. My truck handles great.Much better in the rain the factory tires suk.My budy went with 22s and is unhappey with the ride.
