does anyone know if the stock bug deflector requires any drilling??

Mine has no drilling that I can see, it looks to clip on.

I bought one and installed it; no drilling required. Two clips get snapped into holes under the hood, some placement of clear scratch-prevention stickers on the hood where the bug-gaurd contacts the paint and that's pretty much it.

After about 700 miles, I decided I didn't like it anymore, so I took it off; there is no indication that I ever had one. Overall pretty easy install.

The bug deflector is just standard smoke black/somewhat see through plastic. It is good quality, being made by Nissan and all, and mine is still in good condition; however, all the mount brackets I threw away, and there are 3M stickers needed to prevent scratches on the paint for installation. Needless to say, I can't really sell mine except to someone that already has one installed and needs to replace the deflector itself and has the mounting brackets already. I don't know if you can just order the mounting brackets/kit through Nissan, but it's worth an inquiry. If you find out, I can sell this dirt cheap.
