hey today was our first day of snow and i turned the 4 wheel drive on. it seems louder then just driving normally(rear wheel drive). is this normal? the engine is just louder. and also alittle smell but im guessing thats just from my first time using it. its gotta break in. any help breaking in the 4x4 would help nd also let mek now if its supposed to be louder then regular drive. thanks!

Well, 4W Lo WILL make quite a bit of racket.

I haven't noticed any big noise increase in 4 Hi - maybe a bit of whine.

Yeah, there is a bit of extra noise with the transfer case, front differential and front drive shaft. Pretty normal.
