I have been in the truck market for some time now.  I have a 98 ZX2 that I am converting into my "toy" as opposed to my daily driver and am looking for a reliable, comfortable transportation that I can use to move 4 friends and maybe a dresser or two once in a while.

I've looked at a variety of trucks, the midsize ones being what I had originally wanted, but when I came across the Titan, it seemed like a lot of truck for not that much money.

What I am asking for is, in a nutshell, if there is anything that I need to be aware of before I buy one, and what the positives I would have to look forward to would be.

Thanks,

Andrew

The truck in question is an '04 2WD for $17k with 35k miles.

being the 2004 model is the first full size pickup nissan has ever offerd, there were sum brake problems and rear diff problems, if that truck doesnt allready have the fixes, u should have your dealer take care of them before u buy, if your going to be towing a trailer, there is a volentary recall on the Body Control Module, the dealer will replace the wiring harnes with the updated version, the only change there is 2 fuses were added to protect against trailer mis-wiring, other than that its an awsome truck, i have an 04 as well, have had the minor problems taken care of, and im still as happy with the truck as the day i bought it, like i said just have your dealer make sure these issues are taken care of before you buy it...

overall, the truck is a monster on power, and towing, cargo is also great, mine is a daily driver, i have just under 31,000 miles on her, and still kickin butt lol

good luck with your choice

It appears to be a fully loaded SE.  Power windows, door locks, seats, cruise, steering wheel volume control, directional and temperature display, the works.  Exactly what I was looking for... just a little bit larger.

I think it has the Bose but I'm not sure.  Sure as hell sounds like it.

I will address those problems when I return to the dealer.  Turns out it has 31k miles on it, so it's still under warranty... but it's at a Volkswagen dealership.  Do I need to bring it to a Nissan dealership?  If so, any?

Thanks for the prompt replies.  You may soon have yourself a new forum contributor.

Andrew

yes, bring it to a nissan dealer, as long as the warrenty is transferable over to you, any nissan dealer should be fine......the sound system your reffering to is the "rockford fosgate" system, which was only designed by RF, the components are not really RF, just to let you know lol

I stand corrected.

Anything else I need to know?  I'm literally within an hour of buying a vehicle for the first time in 4 years.

I wasn't able to get in contact with my insurance agent and the salesman had to go home, so I have some more time to evaluate my purchase.
