If you read my other post under Tech, you saw the question about the AC.  I have a mirror qestion now.  But before I continue, I want to be clear, I LOVE my New Titan!  I just never owned a Nissan before so I am hoping some of you can help put my mind at ease on some stuff.

Ok, I have the Titan SE 4x4 Crew Cab with all the Bells and Whistles.  If you know what I am talking about then you know that I have the Big mirrors as part of the Tow PKG.  They take some getting use to for the width.  Also, again, maybe it is me but I can't help notice a noisy, wind rushing sound inside the cab on the Driver side at highway speeds.  Is this normal for those types of mirrors?  I have had Trucks and SUV's in the past and I can't say I have noticed that perticular noise before.  I can say this, the Titan is dead silent inside the Cab at highway speeds for road noise.  ALL of my other cars, trucks and SUV's always had a really bad road noise inside the cab.  I am not use to the quiet.  haha  Anyway, if anyone can relate please reply.  I am going to post in Tech about the Exhaust.  See you there.

Thanks eveyone.

Smokey

I have the same set up, have not heard the wind noise. Check your window seals make sure they are symmetrical, look for any folding on the driver side or possibly a missing seal. Another down side to the tow mirrors is that you loose the puddle lamp which is found on the smaller mirrors.

Hmmm, that is interesting that you don't get the same noise.  I will check the seals and then tell the dealer to look at it from there.

Thanks MaxFax.

I have the tow package as well. My wife said the mirrors are bigger than my head, and well she's right. I have'nt noticed any wind noise from them.

Your probably noticing wind noise since you no longer are hearing road noise.  Have you telescoped the mirrors out like if you were towing?  I keep my mirrors like that except when I enter parking garages and have not noticed wind noise, but hey I'm rock'n out too..     If you telescoped them out, that would move the mirror out farther from the side glass.  Plus I like the look with them out wide... Just a thought.

Thanks Rhino and Taylor.

I have not tried pulling them out to see if the noise goes away.  That is really strange that you guys don't get that noise.  Maybe I am hearing something else but man it sure sounds like it is coming from the driver window area and only at highway speeds.  The reason I thought the mirror is because that is the only thing that sticks out on the side and hence cause a disturbance in air flow at highway speeds.  Please keep the replies coming if anyone else knows of anything.

Thanks everyone.
