Ok I am going to rant for a minute here so if you don't want to read this you may want to leave!!

Does anyone have pride in the work they do!!  I am so sick of these SH*T 50 an hour Punk Kid workers that could care freakin less about the $35,000 vehicle you just bought!  I just bought my Titan SE 4X4 loaded and I had it a few days when I was scheduled to return to the dealer today for the follow up "WE OWE" stuff.  I had Step Rails, bug sheild, Paint seal, undercoat and Scotch guard on the fabric done today.  I also had a small list of issues that me and the sales guy addressed at delivery.  1) driver side mirror had scratches from them parking the trucks so freakin close on the lot that my mirror caught the mirror on the other turck before I ever got it.  2) Apparently the dealer etches the glass on all windows during prep.  That is fine but the same punk kid that has no reguard for things attempted to use the ACID to etch the number in the window and the dip must of slipped and marred 3 of the windows with the acid and made permanent blotches on my windows.  It looks like bird crap on the window but it doesn't come off.  3) most likely the same stupid A$$ who did the etching must have had a stealtip boot on and put a small dent in the lower part of the front door around the rocker panel.  Then to finish they were suppose to do the paint protectant, Scotch guard and under coating.  So they have it ALL day since early this morning.  I go to pick it up and you can tell the were scrambling.  I look it over and to start, I could of had a 2nd grader apply the paint sealant better than what it was.  The mirror was never fixed, the etching problem was told to me that it was the fault of someone who wasn't even there anymore so too bad so sad!!  As for the small dent, well that is when things started getting good.  Just to fix that dime size dent, they told me that half the side of the truck would have to be re-painted.  Come ON!!  I am no body man, but half the truck side for a small rocker panel dent??!!  Then the dealer told me that as far as the etching, all of the windows would have to be replaced, BUT then no etching number would be put back on.  What the hell does that even mean?  How could that etching never be put back on for god sake!  What if the window got broke?  You mean to tell me that for the $200 bucks that they charged me to have that Etching, they can not put it back on the replacment windows?  Unbeleivable!!  They orderd the mirror and I have to come back for that.  Here is the best part.  On the way home I notice a horrible squeak coming from the passenger side of the truck.  I couldn't believe my ears!!  I get home only to find out that the jerk who installed the step bars apparently doesn't know how to turn a wrench because the passenger side step bar almost fell off!! The Nuts were hand tight at best.  While I was under the truck tightening the nuts and bolts to the step rails, i was admiring the undercoating that looked like a kindergardener sprayed it.  All over the freakin place.  The nice new White Rancho shocks and red boots, covered!!  Drive shaft, exhaust pipe main, covered!!  After just about putting the truck in reverse and climbing under it to end this night, I spent the next 2 and half hours re-detailing the truck from top to bottom.  Removing all of the left over paint protectant that was "missed".  Very, Very upsetting night!  What the HELL do I do about this?  Please reply and share your horror story.  Hell lie and make me feel better!!!     Anyone???

Thanks

Smokey

Thanks

Dude, your dealing with new car dealers, they have the worst rap sheet by far at the BBB. I've had some issues as well, not to the extent of yours but eitherway I felt I was treated poorly. It's like they get your money and give you the bird. The only quality work done there is by the technicians, most of the other service emplyees are poorly paid high school drop outs or losers that live with mom and enjoy making $7.00 an hour. I finally just decided to take care  of the small problems myself, it just wasn't worth my time to deal with those idiots anymore. The best thing you can do and I have full intention of doing this is slam them on that survey they all but beg you to give them all "excellent" on. And maybe call someone higher up at Nissan.

Thank You Jaysonstuart!!  I know dealers have a bad rap sheet, the problem is they always seem to have the vehicle you want and they know it.  I just wish dealers would realize that they could have the best of both worlds by treating you with some respect and then at very least have some common sense about what they are doing.  I agree with the do it yourself approach, but again on principal, WHY, they freakin owe you as the buyer to do what is promised and again at very least with some sense of what they are doing.  But, I will follow your advise and as you read I spent about 2 and a half hours re-doing things to make them right.

Thanks man!!

I also had a weak moment and tried the dealer service. It is not worth the hassle. I had to repair the truck myself. The tech. scratched up the center console and left dirty hand prints on the interior. The problem was worse when I left than it was before they worked on it. Took me two minutes to repair what took them all day. Not inspiring service.

Well, after two nights of working on the Truck myself, I am finally happy with things.  I all but took the Step Rails off and re-installed them.  I wish you guys could have seen the sloppy work that was done.  I think the guy that installed them thought it meant no tools required, because he did not use any at all on those bars.  Finger tight at best.  I fixed that, now they are perfect!!  Like I said before, I re-detailed the whole Truck and now it looks great.  I just have to go back one last time to get the mirror replaced and that is it with the dealer until my first service.  I am sure you all will read about that.  I already know something is going to go wrong!!

Thanks for the replies, although it sucks we had to go through it, it helps knowing I am not along.

Survey does count for something. My paper plates expired. I never did get anything but put on hold. Till I faxed them the unfilled out survey. Cover sheet was salesman's name. & Recognize this? Got polite asurence plates were on their way with in a few hours. Even got invited for a free tank of gas. Didn't take em up on it. dealership was 60 miles one way. Went for the best price. Didn't think about service after the sale. Now I don't want to.

I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs at 1-800-647-7265 to vent my frustrations with the dealer I work with about poor service, communication, and quality of the work.  I also contacted the BBB and fill out a written report/complaint and provide them as much info. possible. A month later I got a call from the head of service dept. I then gave him hell about my overall experience. Subsequent under-warranty services improve a little but not much. The only tool that I have is to tell the world my frustrations via BBB, forums like this, and spread the words within my community about the dealer as far as I can. That is how I get back at the dealer. So far I have changed the minds of two new car buyers from going to the dealer I am having problems with.

Thanks guys.
