I found it interesting:

Nissan Motor Company has sent almost 200 engineers from its Tokyo headquarters to solve problems consumers are reporting with vehicles made at its plants in Canton and in Smyrna, Tenn......

I love my TITAN, however I really do wish it had been built in Japan.I would have put my Pathfinder (built in Japan) next to any vehicle made.  Mercedes, BMW, Volvo etc in regards to craftsmaship. My Pathfinder was the best built vehicle I ever had.  So far I have only had the incident with the check engine light in the TITAN. If I had a chronic problem, I would raise serious hell until it was replaced..  I'm sure NISSAN will address this knowing there manfacturing reputation is on the line.

I am a new Titan owner and shopped the Titan against the Tundra.  Toyota really played up Nissan's poor J.D. Power ratings, telling me that the Tundra was worth $4-5,000 more due to higher quality.  The Nissan dealers I dealt with pretended to be totally unaware of the J.D. Power ratings.  I bought the Titan anyway.  I have been pleased with my Titan and am counting on the real Nissan quality to come through.
