Hi All,

I just purchased my new titan CC. It had all options I wanted except for wheels (it has the stock ones). I have been trying to locate some wheels for it and found an ebay auction for a set of brand new Nissan Armada /Titan wheels and tires. Only problem is these are 18" and the ones I got are 17". Nissan service told me they wouldn't be able to recalibrate my speedometer. Anyone have an idea on whether this is true? or if I can get it recalibrated?

Thanks

Mike

Well as long long as you keep the tires overall size close to it's original height then it shouldn't change much...

Well, I was thinking that but I called the tire store and quoted the two different tires and they said the 18" tire would be close to 2" taller. I imagine this would make a significant difference?? Maybe not?

The Titan comes with both 17 and 18 inch wheels.  The overall tire diameter difference is less than an inch.  The 17's are 285x70x17....I think that the 18's are 265x70x18..you can look it up in your manual...

Either one will work...You can go to [http:\\www.tirerack.com] and check which tire fits each truck.  You can select the model of Titan that you have.  If you choose "offroad" it will show you the tires that fit the 17" rims.  Otherwise it will show the 18" tire size.

Hope this helps

Okay, thanks a lot. Would it be safe to say that if there is difference in speedometer vs. actual speed it would be minimal?

Well here's what happens to my X...My stock tires equal to about a 30" tire on a 16" rim and I've swapped out my wheel to 15" rim using a 32" tire which brought me up 2 inches and my speedo is off by roughly 2 mph going 65 on a highway...The only other thing it does is it gives you roughly a lower eading on your odometer,so another owrds you'll be reading less miles than what's on your truck...But you won't see anything really harmfull from these two things..

Anyone have a general idea what it would cost to have it recalibrated at a calibration shop?
