Can you plug an Ipod in the aux jack & be in buisness. $300.00 One time pay. No monthlys. XM? Be Sirius. 5000 songs is more than I need.  Tell me it's so bro.

Should have done a search first. My bad. Look's like it's Ipod time. Anybody looking for a nissan OEM factory XM system still in the box. $300.00. antenna & bracket included. Houston TX.

Havn't got one yet. Just know it will work. When you login. Click on the search icon in the upper right corner. Type in Ipod. Lots of info. Welcome to the house.

you don't need a cable it comes with a male to male adapter for aux, just plug into the topof the ipod. 700 songs go a long way!

So you just plug in the Ipod adapter into the AUX and that's it? Almost sounds too easy.

Still haven't got one yet. Look's like learning how to get the music stored in the Ipod will be the hardest part.

What's the short cut there?  I'm thinking 200 song memory is all I need. Especialy if storing or changing songs isn't too rood.

200 songs x 2.5 min. each = 500 min = 8.33 hours / by drive time. I average 2 hours a day or less. 2 hrs a day = 4 days before it repeats.

I have a Rio Karma and have 1800 songs on it, it is one third of the way full.  I drive on the highway A LOT.  I drove from Pittsburgh to Muskegon MI yesterday and only went through about 200 songs, and I skipped through a lot of them.  Just plug the Rio into the dash plug, I put the rio on the dash right next to navigation with velcro, perfect view!  I wouldn't waste my time with an Ipod, they are only 6 or 7 gigs, the Rio is 20 gigs, and way further advanced.

It will work perfectly.  I am using the same one.  Virutally anything that has an audio output with a 1/8" male jack will work.  I have connected the same male to male cable to my truck and the headphone jack on my laptop and played mp3's that way.  The volume level on the AUX input is considerably lower than cd, xm, or radio.  You will have to turn the volume on your MP3 player way up.  I got a headphone booster at radio shack.  MP3 player plugs into it and then it plugs into the truck.  All it is is a capacitor that boosts the audio signal so you don't have to turn the volume so far up.  Runs on 2 AA batteries.
