why would you want to replace it if it's still under warranty with a factory rear end? I have an 04 CC towing pkg and have a 8800 lb trailer ordered. (6600 +2000) Also purchased a 100k mile warranty, if it breaks nissan can replace it (except for the unexpected down time that is). Just my thoughts, thanks

If you have ever sat in the dealership for 6 hours then you know why we want this. I have done the waste of my day seat time at the dealership as Nissan does not provide rentals to any Californians-but they do in other states as I am told by folks in AZ & Or.. So we get double screwed-bring it in and we will fix it, IF we can get the parts and identify the problem to be within Nissan guidlines for warr. work. Then you will need to get your own replacement vehicle for Nissan's mistake...enjoy. Please keep in mind that the rearend is too small(fluid cap.) for the towing capability of the truck. That is the reason the 2005s have the finned cover design from the 350/G35s is to cool the fluid as there is not enough to handle the thermal shock. The factory cover is a $110 and the replacement with more fluid is $150, I'll buy the non factory and enjoy the benefit of extra fluid cap. and better cooling. The cover adds about 3/4 of a quart more and has very large cooling fins. A general question I have is have you dealt with Nissan on warr. issues yet? Just a note they try to wiggle out of responsibility if possible.

Please remember that I would still not buy another truck out there but Nissan does treat customers with problems as a "Problem" that they try to stonewall. It does not matter how many you have owned or the fact that you bought a new Nissan product in 2002,2003 and 2004. Toyota will bend over backwards fro repeat customers but look they are almost as big as GM, how could they have sold so many cars...........not repeat buyers...nah that ain't it...couldn't be...right...?
