Have been hearing a "ping" noise from underneath the truck when I Idle and more when I turn the vehicle off. Just got under to investigae and felt the "ping" vibration in the exhsust pipe that crosses from one side of the truck to the other. Close to the joint. It seems like there is a heat shield wrapped tight to the exhaust pipe. Maybe the exhaust pipe and heat shield are expanding and contracting at different rates? I don't know, All I know is that it is very annoying to hear and worse when I only made 1 payment. Does anyone have any suggestions??
