I have to tell you that I loved my Titan for about 2 months than it just went down hill from there. I had a 2004 Titan, and it had brake vibration with in the first 2,000 miles. Well after 5 brake jobs before 8,000 miles I had to take a hard look at this truck. The bed liner was bubbing up something fierce, and about once a month my truck would just not start. It was in the shop 10 times for the year I owned it. The dashboard night lights did not work toward the end, so I never knew how fast I was driving at night, it was really bad. I took it to the shop a lot, and they could never find out why it would just go dead, they sliced holes in the bubbles of my bedliner, and left it like that, and they finally ordered me the new brake system, but I had enough. I applied for the Lemon Law in California, and I got approved. I will have to say Nissan did good business, they bought the truck back from me and even gave me almost $4,000 dollars for my troubles. They did offer me a brand new fully loaded truck, but my confidence in my first Japanese vehicle was shot. I used the money for a down payment and bought a 2005 Chevy Tahoe Z71. I love my Tahoe, and if anyone had an issue in California like I did, look into the Lemon Law. Oh yea, the morning I went to go drive the Titan to the dealer to turn it in for the Lemon Law, it would not start, It took every bit of self control in me not to take a sledge hammer to it.

Very sorry to hear about your troubles with your Titan. Sounds like you got a lemon for sure, and I don't blame you for returning to a familiar name like Chevy. But rest assured, your bad fortune is not indicative of all Japanese autos, nor Nissan for that matter. I have owned Toyotas, Chevys, Isuzus, Pontiacs, Jeeps, and Nissans. Overall, I have had better luck with the Japanese autos I have owned. That being said, any auto mfg. can produce a bad one now and then. Sounds like you did the right thing by gettin rid of yours. Hope you have better luck with your Chevy..keep on truckin

Too bad you got a POS. We have had troubles with the brakes and paint but Nissan "plays dumb" about the problems and makes it my responsibility to drive all over California to get the issues resolved/documented. Keep in mind I have 3 Nissans: 2003 350Z, 2003.5 G35 Sedan(Infiniti) and the 2004 Titan and they still don't care. Toyota will bend over backwards for repeat customers but not Nissan,Infiniti is really good but they can't help on the Titan issues I tried and they laughed . Too bad for all of us
