said the part where on back order.... so I guess im going to have to

I have an appointment on Saturday for a vibration in the front when the brakes are applied. I'll keep you posted.

A recall might be in effect for all Nissan Titans but its not going to happen soon...
I got my car checked out and I had many problems with it like squeaking breaks during very slow stops, seat belt problems, seat memory adjustments, sound system, mud flaps very loose, rear window padding loose, front rubber padding loose, steering wheel noise.
Hey Lemon Law is great =) New car if I keep on bringing it in and they can't fix it

I've had the braking/vibration problem since almost new. Just brought it in today because the brakes were squealing with only 30K miles on the truck. They ground the rotors and need to replace the pads, at 30K miles!!!!! And won't cover it under warranty. My lawyer will be contacting the dealer tomorrow. This is a manufacturer defect. And now I read that the rear ends are burning up! Great! I expected more from Nissan.

You need to bring in your warranty book and explain it to the service manager or maybe he can not read. You are under warranty for this problem.

Traded the 04 for an 05 today. Just lost confidence in the 04's. Technical bulletin on "brakes" regarding the 04's explains the changes they have (or should have) made in the 05s. Also from reading about the rear differential overheating problems on this website, I was alerted to the new cooling fins on the cover plate of the 05's differential. I suggest that those of you who are keeping your 04's find out if your dealer will retrofit them with the cover plate with fins.
Still like these Titans better than the Fords I've owned!
If my 05 develops the same front braking problems, y'all will be hearing from me again!

Keep us posted on your 05 and any issues that seem to pop up on both years!

I'll probably get it for this:
I've seen alot of post in here about warped rotors. I'm not trying to make anyone mad, but do you really think it's the truck's fault that you have warped brake rotors. Yeah, it's possible that they made a bad batch of rotors. But ... everyone that I know, car or truck owner, with warped rotors waits until the last second to start slowing down. They basically press the brake pedal through the floor every time to stop. I bet none of you fall in that category, right? I warped the ones on my '02 Frontier just trying to test out the ABS a few times. I won't be doing that on my TITAN.
I'm still surprised that brakes are under warranty until 12,000 miles. It's not like we have racing brakes, but I'm sure they could be made to withstand a little more heat before warping.
If I warp mine I'll let you know.

Hey Cougar,
My braking habits have been the same for years now. In the past ten years I have had 4 new Ford F150's. None developed braking problems. All needed new brakes at about 60K miles. I put about 40K miles on my vehicles each year (I'm a general contractor), and I admit I do drive my trucks aggressively. But I bought a Nissan because thier sports cars (280Z's) seemed indestructible. I'll also admit that I will be making every attempt to go easier on the brales in my 05.
I don't wait until the last minute to brake, I try to give myself plenty of time to stop.

Well, I might have exaggerated a little bit about the last second stopping thing. But ... they all do seem to stop a little too aggressively. Some more aggressive than others.
