I took my Titan in for its second brake job. The dealer replaced the front rotors, brake pads all the way around and resurfaced the rear rotors. My Titan is now taking a lot longer to stop with greater foot pressure required then before. I took it back to the dealer and took a ride with a mech, we had a good talk about the new brake pads. The mech told me that the new pads are made up of different material then before to cut down on heat, well it cut down on stopping power also. Its almost scary sometimes stopping. He also told me that the brakes have a extended warranty now.

I dunno that I noticed any difference quite honestly in the stopping ability from old to new brakes though my opinion was that the thing never stopped.  What the mechanic told you is true though I believe it may be something like 3 yr warranty I recieved a letter from Nissan regarding this.
