I have a 2004 Titan Crew cab which I purchased new. After 10,000 miles I had the entire front brake package done by the dealer. (New rotors, pads, pins, etc..) The problem that I have with this vehicle is that when you apply the brakes when driving on slick road conditions, (snow / ice) you can feel the whole brakeing system vibrating throughout the front of the vehicle, mainly a major pulsating and vibration through the brake padel and steering wheel. It has been to the dealer twice already for this problem and they say that the front end is O K and what i'm feeling is the pulsating of the brake actuators when the ABS system is activating and that this is a normal thing with all Titans. Is this true, and if so, does every other Titan owner have this problem? The brakes work fine on dry road conditions with no vibrations or shimmy. I plan on going back to a Nissan dealer and test driving other Titans as soon as we get alittle snow on the roads.

To an extent, it is true for all ABS equipped vehicles.  Not saying there is no problem, but from what you describe it does sound like the normal reaction to ABS kicking in.

so far in any panic stop i've made i haven't had that happen to me...in a previous car though you could feel the peddle pulsate so maybe thats what you are feeling.  If the whole vehicle itself is shaking perhaps there is something wrong with the bias being applied to the brake system.

really it depends what kind of braking u do, either ur a stomp on it at the last minute kinda guy or ur a ease into it at a safer distance, sounds to me that ur braking a little to hard and fast, making the ABS kick in, i think ive had my abs kick in maybe once in 2 yrs , and all cars with abs give u the same feel when it kicks in

did experience the same thing going down on an icy driveway. i think its normal for the abs to react on icy condition, just didn't expect it to the extent that i can actually hear it .
