I am switching to the aluminum diff cover and need to know the torque spec for the bolts?

Where did you get that number from?
On a 5/16-29 thread?? Hardened bolts maybe.
I did mine with some stainless so they won't rust. Just snugged them with the ratchet. Not like torque is of some real importance on this part- there's no load on it.
