From my own experiences, save lots of money. Not only for the blower package, but, for the additional fuel bill and future repair bills. The worst mistake I made was supercharging my 2001 Cobra. That was not my first supercharged vehicle. I S/C'ed a 2001 Ford Focus, also owned a 2002 F150 Harley Davidson. Mileage on the Stock Focus was 33 mpg on highway at 70 mph on cruise. After the S/C=22 mpg same speed on cruise. The Cobra was 19 highway before, 12 after. The F150 was 11mpg from the factory. Logic and mechanics will tell you that Supercharging a vehicle will reduce fuel mileage. OK, so you don't care about fuel, how about buying your own repair parts????A rebuilt engine is expensive, and if you expect Nissan to warranty anything on the vehicle after you install a supercharger, you are being a bit naive. I know all about the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act, I own a Performance Parts Business, there is nothing you can tell me about the MM Warranty Act that our Company Attornies have not taught me. Please consider ALL the ramifications of installing a blower on any vehicle, it is not a task to be taken lightly.

I have a turbo charged 1960 Bug and it gets the same gas mileage as it did with dual carbs. If you run low boost, no more then 8 lbs on the street with pump gas and not put your foot into all the time, your gas mileage will not waiver that much and reliability should stay the same . Go crazy with the boost and you are asking from problems! Remember you do not boost unless you are under a load or accelerating. Oh yeah, Kiss your factory power train warranty GOODBYE!

This rings true of much what I tell folks on aftermarket big brakes (those who listen) in that any 'go fast' mod, some 'better handling mod' and even those 'stop on a dime mods' all come at a price. If things like we sell were so rosey you'd think they'd be standard equipment on all cars. There's a few reasons why this is not so.

I'm not down on those who want this but if you really expect the same reliability and hassle free operation you have now.....well....

It's all about compression ratio, internal parts, getting enough fuel and not over boosting.  I'm really not sure of the details on our engines.  I have a relationship with the owner of Vortec and am very much into forced induction. If they come out with it, it will have been tested vigorously and be meant for LOW boost. To run serious boost,  an ideal compression ratio is around 8:1 . Forged Rods and pistons are best, but not really required.  Your heads should have special headgaskets and a knock sensor set up is wise to avoid detonation.  There are many things to consider.

While I think it's a great thing for those who want to put a blower on their TITAN, to me, it does not make a whole lot of sense.  If you want to run like a bat outta hell, why do it in something that handles like a TITAN? To each hiis own, however even whith a blower a TITAN is not going to be what  would consider fast, maybe for a truck, but not in the 12's or lower.

I would be concerned for the tranny. A low boost application, say 8psi, will probably have the TITAN laying down 500ft/lbs of torque or more.

I will enjoy to see someone else do it though!

Here's my latest boost project that I have done with Vortec.  The owner of Vortec is a Porsche guy and we have been putting a little something special together. This is my All aluminum Supercharged V8, 32 valve dohc, 8:1, custom forged piston and rods with modified crank, polished and ported heads that flow 310cfm , S-trim making 16psi intercooled boost. It will make around 525 hp at the crank and well over 600lbs of torque..
