Has anyone else had this problem?

The plastic on the steering wheel where the radio and cruise buttons are located seems to scratch easily.  I use the radio buttons alot and the paint above the volume switch is already coming off just from normal wear.

Yup, had this problem too.  Dealer replaced the steering wheel caps.

I read on some other sites that after they got them replaced that they did not have this problem again.  Maybe they made some changes to the plastic.  Have you noticed this?

Sweet, was wondering if this was covered under warranty.

I posted similar problem on 10/27.  My dealer says he will replace the plastic pieces for 36,000 miles as often as I want, but he knew of no change in materials.  Apparently the 350Z has had similar plastic problems on the doors and they now have replacement parts with different type of plastic, so there is hope.

my brother had this on his titan, and had the piece replaced, but now he says the steering wheel is not straight.  he thinks they took the wheel off to replace the piece and then put it back on slightly turned.
