Has anyone had this happen:

You have the brakes applied and turn the wheel full lock to go into a parking space and the power sterring cuts out. I have had this happen many times but I'm not sure if the system is designed to do this as a saftey or if the pump is F'd. any input would be great.

i'll try to notice this the next time i get out.

personally, i think the steering it waaaay too heavy at speeds below about 20 mph. makes for a fun time backing the boat.

I have noticed that if you turn the wheel too fast you lose the power assist.

Yes it seems to just go dead and you get an unwanted suprise.

Its probably the relief (by-pass) valve going full open when you hit the steering stops when you have the wheel cranked all the way over.

...but with me, it's not to either stop. It almost feels like it's kicking back the opposite way. It's almost like the power assist can't keep up...

I believe I read a review in Car & Driver or Motor Trend where they were weaving a Titan through the slalom cones. Seems to me they made a similar comment. I'll have to find it and quote what they said....
