I was at the dealership getting the service done on my 04 Titan. I noticed that the 05 Titans that they had on there lot the differential cover had very large colling fins. Has anybody tried to swap a 05 cover on to the 04 rear axle? Keeping the gear oil cool especially if you are going to tow is a good idea.

I noticed the cover on mine when it was on the rack. Very good idea, but the cover is aluminum so you off roaders may want to re-think a swap.

The new diff cover is Nissan fix for the over-heating and failure of many 04 rearends. Its a common problem and an easy fix but wouldn't it be easier to just give us a bigger diff cover so we had more fluid. The 350 fix should work, by 350 I mean this is the same fix Nissan did for the 350Z/FairladyZ33.
