The daystar kit uses the Strut and shock in the assembly of the kit. The coil spring needs to come off the shock and a spacer goes on the bottom then the coil spring goes back on. Then on top of coil spring another spacer goes on then the OEM plate to hold the assembly together. Which makes the strut (shock) top out to far then it is intended to do. Which causes failure to the shock. The Coil will also be affected with binding! This will give a harsh ride and ruin the Struts.
The Gagnon level kit works because you take the whole strut assembly out of the truck without taking the strut assembly apart! The oem Strut has three threaded bolts on top of strut. The gagnon level kit has three resessed holes which the stock bolts go inside and the Gagnon spacer sits on top of strut assembly! Then the spacer has it's own threaded studs that bolt back into strut mount. Not affecting the shock or the spring or the stock ride quality that the Daystar kit ruins.
Check out Performancelifts.com under suspension and it will show you a picture of the Gagnon kit! This kit works! Trust me don't buy the Daystar kit it sucks!
