I have an '04 KC LE and wanted to upgrade the engine.  Some friends told me to start with an intake.  I don't know much about engines and was wondering if anybody knows what a new intake would do for me?  Does anybody know what brands/models are good?  Whats the intall like for something like this?  Any advice would be appeciated!

Justin

i didn't put an intake in mine yet but i have on other cars.
it will add power and give you more miles per galon to some degree.

install is a piece of cake look for one with a heat shield(which also keeps water from getting socked up by the intake even though water never reaches that spot).

there is no real diference between brands just pick the one that is cheap and looks cool.

i'm not sure if i'll want to add an intake on my titan as it will make a loud noise coming from the engine compartment.(i have installed intakes on 4cilinder vehicles and it makes  loud vacume noises)

Headers and a cat back exhaust is the first thing and then a intake IMO.
