I am lookin to mod my baby up a bit. I plan on putting a cold air intake..K&N is the only decent one I can think of that does it for trucks, so any advice on alternate/ more efficient choices would be helpful. I am also puttin a complete exhaust system on my truck, if at all possible, I would like to have a wonderful sound without replacing the stock manifold, I was thinking maybe some 40 series flowmaster with, no bigger than, 5 in. tips...any advice would be helpful. And any beneficial sites on these mods would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Go with the 40 series. I have 3" tips and you know it's back there when you get on it. And the in-cabin drone isn't really bad. Not a whole lot louder than the stock system. I'm not to up on the CAI, but alot of folks are using the Volant and I think Fram has made one now. I think it's just a knock-off of the AEM. Check around to find the best price on the exhaust system. I paid $215 for mine. Alot of folks are paying $400 & up. Which is rediculous. All the piping was custom bent because the shops pre-bent pieces wouldn't fit. That's about all the advice I can give I guess. Where at in Alabama are you located? I'm in North Alabama about 1 hour west of Decatur.

215?! That's a flippin steal man. All the exhaust systems I have seen are like you said, $400 and up. I saw the Volant intake, which is like 40 bucks cheaper, but I dont know, I want the best and I've heard the K&N is the best. Every single Titan I have seen has the 40 series Flowmasters and it sounds terrific. I've never rode in one that had it on so, I didnt know what it sounded like inside the truck. Thanks for clearing it up man. I really appreciate the advice. I am located in Calhoun County about 20 mins away Oxford. Thanks again.

I put dual exhaust on my titan about 3 months ago.... I noticed a slight bump in power and a big dip in mpg.... but I drive a Titan do you think I really care about mpg???? Note I tried the 40 series and it was way loud at 55-65 mph in cabin. I put a stage 3 magnaflow with 3 inch tips sounds great a little loud at 50-65 but I never drive less than 70!!!!!!!!!

I looked at the AEM dryflow, misery, do you have that on your truck? And the volant intake is pretty expensive, but if the punch is big enough, then its worth it. How noticeable is it?

I've got Volant intake, Magnaflow exhaust. Great "hot rod" sound. Most of your CAI's do the same thing. Most. Some offer more hp, some more torque. Prices are usually within $50 of each other, and all install about the same. Just do a little research and find what sounds best to YOU.
