I have been asked by a couple of members how to debadge their truck. So I thought...I would just go ahead and post it so everyone can have a idea of whats involved. We need fishing line.dental floss works too and paint cleaning caly bar and wax to protect the surface you just uncovered. Place the line between the badge you want to remove and the paint and use a sawing motion to slice through the 2 sided tape that holds the badge on. The letter/number should fall off. Hopefully with some of the tape but not always. Now you need to use your fingers to roll as much of the remaining 2 sided tape off of your truck. I then follow with a clay bar to remove the excess. You can use 3M adheasive remover if you want, it can help on the hard to get sticky left overs. You will need to wax the area you just uncovered to protect it,if you use a clay bar-wax all the areas the bar has gone over. Guess what you will know where you are done but waxing is the last step You may see a slight shadow but after a few days in the sun it fades and you can't tell where the badges were. PLEASE BE CAREFUL if you are using fishing line and even dental floss, the amount of pressure you'll be exerting is enough to cut you. I have done this and it can make finishing difficult as you have less fingers to wrap the line around. This is an easy mod but one I had been asked by others how to do so don't fear, the 5.6,LE,SE,XE,V8 and Endurance all have no holes. I have been told that TITAN does not either but I have not removed it. The Nissan badge in the tailgate is a question mark as I have gotten two answers: "yes" it has holes and "no" it just 2 sided tape. I have not experimented with it yet so if someone here knows please post. I do not use heatguns but I know of some folks that do. Good luck to any of you wanting to try this

I used a blow dryer and some GooGone on the lettering.

Glad someone removed the NIssans as I was not going to. Thanks for the info. We now know whats waht on the badging.

The hairdryer works well, I just don't like to introduce any heat to paint if I don't have to.

I have waited for the hot days too but I was too lazy when they came along On a serious note if the paint is too hot you can damage it if you use something other than fishing line. I did this on the my cousins Galant. I used a plastic scraper and it left makers at the edge of the badge as I wedged them upward...Oooopppssss

I had great luck using a disposible plastic scrapper.  One of the cheap yellow ones from HomeDepot.  Much easier than floss, and it didn't leave a mark.  Not even the finest of scratches.  Then like above, finger rubbing for the tape.    I used WD40 to remove the goo, much better than GooGone.

Thanks for the 2 hole info on the back logo.  I was after it next, now I think it'll stay.
